Ashley Berry, LMHC, is a psychotherapist who works at the intersection of trauma, identity, and transformation. Her clinical focus includes existential crises, shadow work, re-parenting, neurodivergence (ADHD, ASD), chronic pain and illness, grief and loss (including the often-overlooked loss of pets), anxiety, and depression. She also provides gender affirming care for individuals exploring gender identity, orientation, and navigating LGBTQIA+ relationships and experiences.
With over 12 years of experience working in private practice, domestic abuse agencies, and working with neurodiverse individuals, Ashley brings a deeply attuned and integrative approach to therapy. Her work is rooted in psychodynamic and existential theory while deeply informed by holistic, somatic, and relational modalities.
She integrates nervous system awareness and intuitive attunement into the therapeutic process, guiding clients through exploration of patterns, systems, and relational dynamics that shape their lives. Ashley’s approach honors the complex interplay between mind, body, relationships, and society to support clients in building insight, resilience, and personal agency.
Ashely earned her Master’s in Mental Health Counselling at Brooklyn College – CUNY and holds a Trauma Treatment Certification from NYU. She is currently expanding her expertise through advanced trauma training at NYU Silver School of Social Work and specialized study in nervous system regulation under Dr. Stephen Porges, founder of Polyvagal Theory.
