Dr. Allison Roland is a clinical psychologist who works collaboratively with adults of all ages navigating anxiety, depression, anger, relational distress, life transitions, and gender/sexual identity concerns.
Dr. Roland is trained in both psychodynamic therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), integrating these evidence-based approaches to help individuals build agency over their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through this dual lens, Dr. Roland also supports clients in developing deeper insight into the unconscious patterns and internal dynamics that shape their mental and emotional lives.
She is committed to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, and evidence-based care to support individuals in recognizing past patterns and making meaningful, lasting changes in their lives.
Dr. Roland earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University, an M.A.in Clinical Psychology at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, an M.A. in Psychology at the New School for Social Research, and a B.A. in Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Roland completed her predoctoral internship at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She has trained in various inpatient and outpatient settings including Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Gracie Square Hospital, the Albert Ellis Institute, the Max and Celia Parnes Family Psychological and Psychoeducational Services Clinic, and the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Center at NYU Langone, where she provided individual and couples therapy to military veterans and their families.
